Bronx, New York — Garifuna American Junior Middleweight Boxer EDDIE GOMEZ defeated MARCUS HALL in his boxing match on Friday August 19th 2011 at The Paradise Theater in the Bronx. Below you can find video of the match.

In the video, Garifuna American Junior Middleweight Boxer EDDIE GOMEZ (in the white shorts with blue stripes) can be seen beating MARCUS HALL (in the green shorts) in the first round.
The Boxing Match was broadcast on the Telefutura Channel’s “Solo Boxeo Tecate” telecast.
Signed to Golden Boy Promotions in October 2010, EDDIE GOMEZ is expected to be one of the boxers highlighted when Golden Boy Promotions begins to run monthly boxing shows at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn in the fall of 2012. A senior at JFK High School in the Bronx, EDDIE GOMEZ turned 19 on August 25th 2011. Eddie Gomez’s father, Eddie Gomez Sr fought professionally in Honduras.
EDDIE GOMEZ was also recently chosen to be a sparring partner for VICTOR ORTIZ as he prepares to fight popular boxer FLOYD MAYWEATHER in September 17th 2011. EDDIE GOMEZ may also fight on the undercard of that match.
In a sweet moment at the end of this video clip shown below, as EDDIE GOMEZ raises his arm as he is declared the winner of the fight, note that both the Honduran AND Garifuna flags are held up beside Garifuna American EDDIE GOMEZ!!!
