Honduras, Central America: The dramatic film, “Garifuna In Peril” produced by Honduran Garifuna Ruben Reyes and Ali Allie of the United States will be presented in Honduras for the first time from October 18th 2013 through October 24th 2013 in the cities of Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, Puerto Cortes, La Ceiba, Trujillo, Tela, El Progreso and Travesia.

Bronx, New York — The Suazos, an American family of Garifuna descent will hold a vigil for their murdered daughter Eva E. Suazo on SATURDAY June 8th 2013 at Soundview Park in the Bronx at 2pm. They are asking families who have lost loved ones to gun violence to join them at this vigil.

Honduras, Central America — Garifuna Man Ruben Reyes along with a contingent of representatives of The Garifuna Hope Foundation are traveling throughout Honduras from May 22nd 2013 through June 4th 2013 in a trip that is designed to foster stronger relations between Garifunas in the United States and Garifunas in Central America.
