San Pedro Sula, Honduras — Below is a reposting of an article posted by Honduran newspaper “La Tribuna” regarding the commemoration of the Garifuna presence in Honduras for 215 years.   Notice the use of the term afro-descendant as opposed to Garifuna.  For those that do not know, Afro-descendant is a term used to describe Black people in Central and South America.
